Kanye West is coming out with some amazing stuff this year. Looks like his truly trying to mend a bit some of that scandalous shiz in the resent past and come out with new kinda mind blowing and nerve sticking music that sounds like its coming straight from the heart to all them 'special peeps.' :D
Kanye breaks the idea down for us;
"It's the story of a phoenix fallen to Earth, and I make her my girlfriend, and people discriminate against her and eventually she has to burn herself alive and go back to her world," he told New York magazine. "I've been feeling the idea of the phoenix. It's been in my heart for a while. It's maybe parallel to my career. I threw a Molotov cocktail on my career last year, in a way, and I had to come back as a better person."

Young Guru really preaching the truth about the music industry today. It makes me wonder how much it will have changed when I for instance graduate from my music related studies. *The corporation dosent owe me anything, but I owe my people to warn them about the corporation.* The fact of the matter is, just like Young Guru says, you as an artist do not need the major labels to make your money anymore, because the end is coming for the major record labels, in 10 years they will seas to exist. What Young Guru then states, and this also my personal belief, is that you can make it on your own and not enslave yourself to a dead-end record deal and loose most of your profits to labels, when you could of just ensured yourself the money from the work you put in. I hope this clip opens peoples eyes in regarding the music business.
